Gettin Ready

A couple of days ago I walked into the bathroom to find out what a quiet Hannah was doing to find herself slathering her face, arms and legs with lotion.  Upon asking what it was she was doing she replied: I'm getting ready for the season, in case it sunshines.  You should too!

Funny Ha-Ha's and Cuteness

The other day Adam got after Abby for trying yet again to climb on the table.  So as she started climbing again he says: Abby No!  And she looks right at him says: Ya! Ya ya!
She's learning a lot more words...you don't think you'll be as excited about the new words with the second one...no we are.  Ridiculously so. :)

Hannah is disgruntled about the projected weekly forecast.  In response to the weather man's predicition of a week of a LOT more rain Hannah says this morning: Ugh! This is RIDICULOUS! Why can't he just say sunshine!?  I don't want any more rain.
I think she's under the impression if the weather man would just say the word sunshine it would be so.

These two are hanging out a lot more. :)  Lots of giggling.
Really serious about gardening.  We don't fool around.
While outside Hannah thought it would be great to pour an entire can of water over Abby.  When I asked Hannah why she did that she replied: Well I didn't mean to!  It's like my hands did it without me wanting them to!
I gave Hannah her own garden space that she can do whatever she wants with and plant whatever she chooses.  She took the time to rake the whole thing up and pull out the weeds.  Then she planted wild flower seeds and then asked if she could have a few of the other flowers to plant by herself.  She came over and dug the holes and put the flowers in and carefully covered them back up just like I'd shown her how to do.  Then she watered them.  I love it.  Her little space is very lovely.  :)  She loves gardening.  She has been asking for months now if it's time to plant the big garden.  :)

Baking with Daddy

When one is done baking it's important to be wearing lots of the ingredients.  This is how you know you're doing it correctly.

I love these two...

Just some pictures...

Words escape me right now...not much to say except I am thankful for spring.  Officially that is. :)  And I am still in hope we all get well...finally.  I am looking forward to a few upcoming trips/visits we have in the next few months.  If we can all just get well and stay there I might feel a little saner.
I love this picture of the two of them...
Rosy nap cheeks and crazy sleep hair.
This girl is beautiful inside and out
She's getting so big so fast!
 Watchin basketball together

 Striking a pose

Helping do a little spring cleaning
She sure loves to help

More of Silly Abby

Abby's Antics

*I just caught Abby having a rockin dance party by herself.  When I started laughing, she covered her face with her hands and gave an "Aw I'm embarrassed you caught me doing that," look.  She's hilarious.  She was really getting into it.
*Also, she was using Hannah's alphabet thing this morning and singing along with the ABC's...only every letter was I.  But darned if she didn't get the tune right.
*She's really into stealing things...especially something you appear to be using at the time and then she runs away as fast as she can (which is actually pretty fast!) to hopefully hide it before you can catch her.
*There's definitely been more jealousy over things lately.  Hannah got a sucker from a lady a the store the other day when we went to pick up her antibiotics and Abby was instantly heart broken that she too was not offered one!  I mean the audacity!
*She is talking LOTS more.  LOTS of jabber.  She likes to tell "Doggy Out!"  And is trying to say Hannah's name...right now it sounds like Ha-ha-Ha.

Going Private

I have thought about doing this for awhile...it just makes me nervous to have the blog hanging out there for anyone random to find.  I've had it set up to where search engines aren't allowed to bring it up as an open to the public link but...it still makes me nervous.  I don't know who all read and followed before, so if I added some of you and you could care less no worries!  Go on not caring! haha
I just wanted to make sure I added everyone who would normally read the blog.  It may not last...I realize it's a pain to sign in everytime you want to come here and read, but it makes me feel better knowing everything I say about my kiddos isn't sitting out in the open for some creeper to read.
Hope everyone is having a marvelous Saturday!

The Girls

Well, I'm behind on things.  We're still coming out of being sick, but there's been lots going on!
Hannah is on Round 2 of swim lessons now and we are looking into possibly adding ballet or some kind of dance because ALL she LOVES dance and has asked me several times during the day when she can be in dance.
She is loving swimming!  I feel for both girls it's important to get them good lessons for swimming pretty early because both are total water babies and have no fear when it comes to water, and also since getting the boat and going out on it more it seems more important than ever.
Hannah had her first lessons and was a little nervous about her teacher because, well, he was a guy.  She immediately warmed up to him though and had a complete blast with him and her new friends.  She had a small meltdown when I told her that for these next classes he may not be her teacher.  (I was secretly hoping he would be.)  The day of swim got moved to Mondays and she's been stressing all week that she wouldn't have the same teacher.  We got there yesterday and she did not in fact have the same teacher but she was SO excited!  This was how I knew that swimming is something she genuinely is in love with and not something she's just kind of enjoying while we enroll her.  She was so excited to make new friends.
She's the teeniest person in the class and probably the youngest by a couple years but she stayed right with everyone and did all she was asked.  It's amazing for me to see how confident she is in the water now!  She and I used to go to the pool all the time a couple times a week before we had Abby and to see her in the water now it's amazing how far she's come in just a short amount of time.  Also, yesterday I got a glimpse of how she's grown in some areas.  When she first started swim in January, if something excited her or she saw her daddy she would have come running over to chat, completely forgetting about class.  Yesterday Adam showed up about halfway through and when she finally caught sight of him she waved and got excited and told him she loved him but then immediately turned her attention back to the class and kept going.  She never even attempted to come running over.  Which is pretty huge because when it comes to people she loves she can't stay away and is always wanting to give out large hugs.  :)  So I was pretty proud of her but it was so weird to see how much she's changed in such a short amount of time.
She continues to be such a goofball and is such a big help around the house.  We've started making it a rule that when she's done with a meal she brings her own dishes in to the sink and helps clear things.  Last night she stood there and helped me wash and dry the dishes and I had such a nice little chat with her.  :)
Abby...Abby is a hoot.  She's sneaky.  There have been several times Adam and I have looked at each other and said, Um...Hannah listened better than that!  haha  It's true!  She had her year well check last Monday, after rescheduling it 4 different times due to being sick.  She's 32 inches and 20.5 lbs.  She's in the 98% for her height and 40-50% for weight.  She got a couple vaccinations and we postponed MMR for awhile.  She got a chickenpox (Varicella) vaccination, and I'm still on the fence about how I feel about it.  It caused her body a bad reaction with a HORRIBLE rash and diarrhea.  She's still kind of recovering from that, but it doesn't help she's got a couple molars and two top teeth coming in.  Her mouth is one huge swollen gum.  But she continues to be this happy bubbly thing.  She is always happy.  :)  She does great at playing by herself...although sometimes the things she chooses to occupy herself with are crazy.  She has a total obsession with the toilet.  She recently learned how to open it...and is always trying to put things inside.  I know for a fact Hannah did not care so much about the toilet.  She really didn't.  She pretty much left it alone. Abby, not so much.  She's climbing things like crazy, or at least trying to!  Her words are starting to get a lot clearer and she's great at signing some of the more basic words.  It has sounded like in the last few days she's been trying harder to say Hannah or something like it.  Hannah is SUPER excited.  She's a very snugly little thing and is extremely fun to be around.  She's a lot less people shy than Hannah was.  Abby will go up to complete strangers and flash them a smile and hang out for awhile.  Hannah was much more particular about who she was around.  I am having so much fun with the two of them.  They make my day.  :)  Kind of a boring post but necessary for memories sake!
