Rolling Over!

Well today she did it! Miss Hannah rolled over officially for the very first time ever! I started taping her right after she did it but the second time around she needed some help (blame it on being camera shy). She just continues to constantly move and be active. It is SO hard to get this girl to sleep because even at 2.5 months she is just SURE that she is missing out on big things in life if she's sleeping. So naps are cut short and it's hard to GET her to sleep if there's any kind of activity. But she is doing awesome at sleeping thru the night. Only waking up once or twice for the most part. Now we just need to get her sleeping in her crib and room downstairs. We've tried that a couple times and so far it hasn't gone over so well. But I think she'd sleep better because it's quiet and out of the way...so we'll see. More later....

Two Months...Already!

I cannot believe it's already been 2 months since little Hannah Grace was born!! She is just a growin! When I took her to her well check on Tuesday she has now pretty much doubled her birth weight! She's 10 lbs 02 oz! I cannot believe that! I knew she was bigger but that much bigger!!! She's growing like a weed! She barely fits into 3 month sleepers and onsies! She's busting out and is just real determined to be at the same place babies who were not born prematurely are at.

I think she's really starting to come out of the colic stage she'd been in. Most of the time now if she's upset or fussy she has a reason to be. A lot of the time it's because she's over tired. She's just certain she's missing out on something if she falls asleep and so fights it with everything she's got. Her hands and arms do not stop moving but I've noticed even in the last week that her hand and arm movements are more purposeful. She'll grab on to you or your shirt if you try to put her down...she rubs me while she's breastfeeding and more of her personality is coming through. She's really trying hard to roll and so when we put her down anywhere we have to make sure she's either strapped in or has a good buffer around her!

She's been smiling a LOT more lately. Today for over an hour I sat with her and played peekabo and tickled her and talked in silly voices and she smiled the entire time. She tried to laugh but all that came out was a big squeal! She's definitely more aware of what's going on around her and more aware when someone familiar is in the room even if she can't see. And she's got this new sad pouty lip cry she's trying out. Which breaks my heart and makes me laugh all at the same time. She may be just the tiniest bit dramatic. Which is no HUGE surprise given the kind of kid I was...and the kind of person her dad is! haha (He'll kill me when he reads this!)

But she's beautiful in every way and we are SO very thankful for her! She's such a blessing! It really is true how quickly you forget the aches and pains of being pregnant and of childbirth like the day after! The only thing I'm still struggling with is the laryngitis she so nicely bestowed upon me during pregnancy. So I sound like a chain smoking frog! We really are so in love with this little girl. I cannot imagine life without her and her little personality...which is already so "go get em" and strong! I cannot wait to see what this next month holds for her. More later....
