Hannah Entertaining Abby Sister

Hannah dearly loves her Abby She can make Abby laugh harder than anyone else right now just by laughing or apparently saying the word marshmallow. Here she is offering some small entertainment while we unpack groceries. :) I have a feeling these girls are going to be good friends.

Beach Day

On Wednesday my sister, Adam, the girls and I drove down to the beach for part of the day to hang out so Adam could rest while still getting out and Hannah could be at one of her most favorite places. Trouble is it was SERIOUSLY cold! The wind was chilling! Which we're all familiar with but none of us were really having it (except Hannah) so we stopped at a coffee shop on the way home to warm up! Bout that time the sun came out full force. (of course!) But we had a fun day!

Hannah's Boyfriend and Another Parade

My mom and sister Becca took Hannah to the Old Fashioned Festival Parade today. She had a blast! She got to pet a horse and wave like a princess...and she met a new friend. Apparently this little guy was lovin Hannah. He and his family were sitting up in front of mom, Hannah and Becca and they all decided that since Hannah was in the back where the candy couldn't reach her they would help her out. So this little guy (Ethan, who Hannah will admit to being her boyfriend) brought her a whole paper bag of candy and kept bringing her little handfuls throughout the parade. So a huge thank you to the parents of this polite little boy who shared his precious candy. :)

Big Largantic (Big Lar-jan-tik): Big+Large+Gigantic
Used by Hannah when each word is not enough by itself. Use in a sentence: Woah! Mama that was a big largantic fly!

Convirmation (con-ver-may-shun): Conversation + Confirm
Used by Hannah to confirm an event is actually going to happen by having a conversation to discuss it. Used in a sentence: Hold on! First we need to have a convirmation about getting into the pool, come sit.

Last-Earlier: Used by Hannah to describe yesterday but also any moment that happened previous to the one she's currently in. Used in a sentence: Mama, I remember last-earlier when I got in trouble for not listening.

Dr. Hannah

The day after Adam got home from the hospital Hannah announced she was going to be a doctor when Adam explained why he went to have surgery done and what the doctor had done to help him. She told me that right now she's just going to be a little doctor but when she's bigger she'll be a big doctor. :) Ya know what? I honestly believe that out of everyone I know if Hannah Grace wants to be a doctor she will make it happen. She takes very good care of her daddy.

Scenes from a Horror Movie or Adam's Leg?

Monday Adam had surgery on his knee to repair a definite ACL injury (ACL non-existent) and tendon tears. The plan was to graft parts of his hamstring to build a new ACL. When they got in there they found he also had indeed torn his miniscus. All these things were contributing to the immense pain he's been feeling for the last few years. About 3 years ago he injured his knee while playing basketball with a group of guys, when he went up to make a shot his knee went a different direction than the rest of him. Hopefully this repairs it and makes it much easier for him to get out and do the things he loves to do! He's been doing well and recovering nicely but he can't put any weight on it for at least 2 weeks, so he's here hanging out with us girls for two weeks slowly goin crazy! :) These are pics from yesterday morning...he's looking pretty banged up and bruised with 5 incision sites.

Aunty Becca's Half Marathon

On Sunday my sister Becca ran the Dundee half marathon (13.1 miles). It was a tougher half marathon because it was up in the hills of Dundee (which are killer) however, to her it was her "long run" for the week. That's what she used it as. Ha! (You kill me girl!) She finished 3rd or 4th over all and first among the women. Thing is she said she wasn't sure how many were ahead of her so she didn't push all that hard! If she'd pushed just a leeeettle harder she'd have won the whole thing! (Silly girl!) She finished in 1:32 only like 4 minutes behind the first place runner. SO proud of her. October brings the Portland marathon. We joke that we need to place family members at strategic spots along the end of the course so someone can tell her how many people are ahead of her and get her to push extra hard. This girl is insane...and we love her!

When did she get so little girl gorgeous?

It seems like in the last week or so in all the pictures I take of Miss Hannah she looks so different. So grown up and even more little girl like. I can't believe it! Hard to imagine her becoming even more beautiful...but she sure is!
