More Musings and Facts...

I really have not been very creative with the blog titles as of late...I apologize. :)

Hannah wearin mama's clothes. :)

~Hannah has a recent obsession with organizing things in the bathroom.  It keeps her occupied for an hour or so, and I don't mind at all except that my deodorant or face wash, etc... keep getting relocated and I have to go on a special mission to find it every day. :)

~Abby is extremely charming, and I'm afraid she knows it.  She has this squish up her whole face smile she gives that is most distracting and lovable and she's sneaky. Very stealthy.  She's been known to walk up to strangers and charm them with her smile and jabber and suddenly... bam! She's off walking away...most likely with the person's food or special toy and they never knew what hit them.

~I have been consuming a lot of popsicles lately...I forgot how much I love them.  Especially the Dryer's fruit bars...Adam and I used to eat those all the time when we were dating...they've kinda come back around.

~I also have a new obsession with The Greek God's Honey Strawberry yogurt.  YUM!  I am not much of an ice cream person but this stuff is far better than any ice cream...I think.  I looove it.
Must You?

~Today I made Abby pasta with peas....she ate all the peas and left the pasta.  Silly girl! :)

~I don't mind cleaning at all...in fact most days I love it.  I used to loathe doing the dishes tho, and I thought when we moved into this place I'd go a little crazy since there's no dishwasher.  Turns out I really don't mind not having a dishwasher...but the FLOORS!  The kitchen floor is causing me to lose sanity.  I scrub it almost daily, not to mention the numerous times I vacuum or sweep it...and it just doesn't matter.  Somehow I turn around and it looks like I did nothing to it or a cheerio ends up stuck to my foot upon walking through...very annoying I assure you.  I'd like to say some day I'll miss the cheerios sticking to my feet when I walk through the house...somehow I'm just not so sure.

~I love these girls.  They sure make my day.

More Ponderings and Rants...

*My favorite quote from today:
Hannah: Mama, don't look at me right now!
Mama: Why not?
Hannah: Cuz...I am about to do something I shouldn't

*I am really enjoying this sunshine!  I don't care how cold or warm it is at this point I just really love the sun.

* Hannah and I got in a random conversation today about babies and how she is soooo ready for us to have a another one.  I asked her what would happen if we didn't have another baby.  She didn't say anything.  No.  She burst into tears instead.  It was bad.  Oh dear.

* I THINK I am finally on the mend.  This has been ridiculous!  At the risk of really sounding like I'm complaining let me just break this down for you: We are never this sick.  It has been four weeks of non-stop randomness in being sick.  I'm talking horrible red eyes (for three of us), HORRIBLE hives that resulted in an emergency trip to the pediatrician, horrible coughing, diarrhea and a worrisome trip to the pediatrician for Hannah, which resulted in the worst trip to the pediatrician ever.  I love our doctor.  She's great...she's super conservative about ordering tests or procedures but after looking Hannah over about a week ago she decided we needed to do some blood work to eliminate anything scary.  Anything scary being, anemia...leukemia, and a marker for bones that would flag a bone disease or possible cancer.  OMG.  This seriously turned into a doctor's visit from hell.  Every worry a mama has about the worst case scenario started to flash before my eyes and as I'm trying to hold it together at the pediatricians I can only think how I will not be ok if something happens to Hannah.
Meanwhile we have to get blood work for her...in short this was not fun.  I had to hold Abby so she wouldn't get into anything as well as hold Hannah and her arm down so they could draw blood.  Hannah is sobbing that it was all her fault for getting sick and if she'd just stayed well the doctor wouldn't have had to take her blood...it was horrifying and I was trying my hardest not to cry......after sitting on pins and needles for a day turns out the tests came out ok.  She had a couple of very slightly elevated levels but they can be elevated in the face of a viral infection...oh my.  I think I have new gray hairs...

* Last night was the first time Adam and I slept in the same bed/room in over a week due to horrible coughing on my part or horrible bear-in-hibernation like snoring on his.  I still have some laryngitis but we ARE getting better.

* I find it interesting that any time I have second guessed my part in worship at our church-as in should I still be leading it like I am-I end up with a sickness that lasts a good several weeks leaving me in the end SO ready to come back to singing.  Coincidence?  I'll let you decide.

* Honestly...I apologize this post is all about health but really...I have not felt well since August.  I got horrible mastitis and then spent months being sick as a result of something else and literally as soon as I started feeling better from that I got sick with this stuff!  I'm ready to feel better! :)

*Hannah and I decided last night that when she gets a little older we will buy motorcycles together and go riding together.  She was really excited about this...actually so was I.  haha

*Hannah is really ready to start gardening.  She has given me a detailed list of what she plans to plant, including carrots, lettuce and LOTS of flowers.  I love that she's so excited about it.  :)

Some Random Thoughts...

Here are some random thoughts for the evening:

*While it's slightly silly that I have become the voice-over for Hannah's favorite teddy Snoozy Bear, if we're being honest that snuggly bear with a suspiciously mama-like voice somehow gets that girl to do things cheerfully that plain ole mama in plain ole mama voice just cannot sometimes. ;)  So thanks Snoozy Bear.

*Abby has gotten quite good at taking random household items and hiding them and quickly.  Somehow she managed to grab one of Hannah's church shoes (that we need for tomorrow) and made off with it.  I have been looking for that thing for hours high and low!  I finally found it...in the shower.

*I am tired of being sick.  We are never this sick and I'm annoyed.  Vicks on the feet has helped with the coughing but it's still bad.  So tonight I have buttered myself in Vicks...and now I think I've been way too conservative with it in the past!  Because after a good chest buttering I am FEELING it in my chest...and it's kind of nice.

*I made tilapia fish tacos tonight.  I always thought I would never eat them...but I LOVE tilapia and Adam loves fish tacos.  So I made some up with a special guacamole sauce and they were great!  A recipe definitely worth repeating!

*Tomorrow is the Super Bowl and we originally had no plans other than attending church and recuperating from being sick.  But last minute plans to have my parents over and a new yummy recipe for mini calzones Adam and I are trying tomorrow has tomorrow looking pretty fun.  Hannah is really excited to see her Popsie and Gram.

*If it weren't for Dave Ramsey I would take the money we are getting back from taxes and run with it to somewhere warm and tropical for a family vacation to celebrate us all getting well.  And because it just sounds soooo nice.  But Dave Ramsey says otherwise...he says: time for that later. :)

*I turn 30 in less than a month...

A picture is worth more than a buncha words anyway...

I'm sure I have things to say...things to post but I'm tired.  So I'll leave you with a little conversations moment yesterday with Hannah: While singing Farmer in The Dell Hannah suddenly stops mid-song and says, "Hey mom...what if the farmer in the Dell doesn't take a wife? I mean...what if he doesn't want to?"
And here are some of my fave pictures from the last few weeks...despite being ferociously sick:

Baby bead-head...except not so much baby anymore.

Love her...

Lil Family Outing...it's important to bring snacks.  Especially when Abby is involved. :)

Modeling the swimm-suit

I love these two...
