Bedtime Stories

These are Hannah's must read stories before bedtime! Every night we have to read for certain these two books. Except with Dinosaur's Binkit we call it Mankee instead which is her word for her blanket. She's so cute when we read books now because she's starting to memorize stories and parts of the book and will say what each page is kind of about as we get to it. Very cute. I have to say bedtime with her usually goes rather smoothly. She's never asleep when we put her in bed and after we read and sing she's good.

Yay she's here!!! She got here yesterday morning at almost 9:00 and she's a TEENY thing! Hannah weighed less but this girl is such a little ball! You hold her in the blankets and there's nothing to put your second arm under! And she has the smallest little tiny nose I've ever seen. She's completely precious and everyone is doing well. We love you Troy and Jen! Congrats...you will be amazing parents. I can see it in the way you already look at her and love her...

Sick Day

Hannah and I were snowed in today...again. *Sigh* And she's gotten really sick again these last two days. We seem to all be passing a variation of this one bad cold and cough around between us all. So we lazed around...I have lots to do today and I don't feel like doing any of it. I should work out while Hannah is sleeping or laundry or cleaning but I really just don't want to! I feel exhausted! So we ate oranges...upped our vitamin C intake, ate snacks and watched the Lion King. Her poor little nose is SO runny. But what's super cute right now is that when her nose starts to drip she comes running up to you with her nose sticking out ready for a wipe!

Happy Valentines Day!

I know it's a little early but Happy V'Day anyway! Adam and I don't usually celebrate Valentine's Day in the typical way. Ever since we started dating, because we both feel it's a cheesy holiday altogether, we rent old ridiculously cheesy horror movies to watch and cook up a yummy dinner that usually involves a nice steak and if we get each other gifts it's something unconventional. We get practical gifties for each other. Like one year Adam got an electric toothbrush from me. :) Cause he needed it! I think I got a coffee/espresso maker one year. :) Hope whatever you're doing this year and however you celebrate it you have fun!

Hannah Words

This girl talks lots! And she's got lots of words and phrases down but some of the best ones are the ones that are mispronounced! The other day she looked at a purple ball and said "Purple!" I thought that was crazy since she's only heard the word a few times and this morning she totally said "Piper and Kendyl" pretty spot on! But here are some of the words/phrases and their actual meanings for Hannah...

Animals are distinguished by the sound they make not their actual name. Other than a handful like doggy or kitty.

Baa-Sheep

Moo-Cow

Hooo-Owl

OO-oo-Monkey (although she also says monkey)

Bob-Bird...this is because Adam's parents have a bird named Bob and now all birds are deemed "Bob"

no-no=nose

mou or ahhhh=mouth

knack-snack or most usually fruit snack

peas=please

day-choo=thank you

awww=hug or loves

mankee or bankee=blanket

baby=refers to actual babies...but also people in general. Anyone without a specific name...this can include old people as well. :)

ogie-ogie=yogurt

cheeree-erie-erie-erie-o=cheerio...she adds several additaional syllables to this word...it's hilarious!

cewealemeek=ceral and milk

Popsie=Pops aka grampa (my dad)

Mam=Gramma (my mom...usually growled)

Beppa=Aunt Becca

kaw-kee=coffee

Mama= It does refer to me but also anything I use. Like mama's coffee or mama's juice...

hat=hats but also towels...like when I wear it on my head after I've washed my hair

choose=shoes

uppa-up=up

dow=down

bug-nee=bunny

mimi-milk (although she can say milk so this is odd)

crackie=cookie or a cracker whichever you have available she won't be picky

MMMMMmmmmmm=this is sure good

Lala choo=I love you

I'm sure there's more but these are the cutest. Mom and I were just talking last night about when Kendyl gets here and is old enough for the girls to play. I'm telling you right now watch out for these two. Kendyl already sounds like she has a mind of her own and these two together are going to be a force to be reckoned with! haha
