Here are pictures...I'm too tired to write words right now that will come later...

Crazy Dreams
So anyone who has been pregnant knows that many times it's accompanied by the randomest of dreams. I've been having lots lately and they keep getting crazier and crazier and most of the time I only remember bits and pieces...but this one I had the other night I remembered all of:
I went to my next doctor's appointment and they informed me that since they had mis-calculated my due date and I was further along would I like to do the gender scan that day instead. Of course! I say. So we go into this room and she asks me to lay down on the "table." The table is a balance beam basically. She tells me I have to lay on my side on it and make sure I lay perfectly still...HA! I'm looking at the balance beam and I'm looking at my monstrous body thinking...well this oughta be good!
So I hoist myself up onto this small tiny little table, meanwhile Hannah is running amok about the room unplugging all the machines and hitting every button she can get her little hands on (this is actually not far from what would normally happen.) So they roll in this huge video arcade game looking thing with all these buttons. She starts scanning...although I'm trying to figure out WHAT she's scanning as she has nothing on my actual body. Suddenly huge blue letters saying, "IT'S A BOY!" pop onto the screen like I have just won the lottery. There! Says the doctor there it is! But I am confused because there was no image of the baby and she certainly wasn't taking an ultrasound from my stomach so I'm trying to ask her how she managed to get this prediction and she tells me it's fine it's hardly EVER wrong and I should go out immediately and buy all boy things.
I still am not convinced and really want to have another go at this but she assures me it's not wrong. So I go up front to make my next appointment...and the one male doctor in the practice is up there. But he's sitting up at the front desk like a receptionist...in his what I assume are golf clothes. His wife is sitting right next to him. So I am told I need to schedule with him.
So as we look at the month I am to come in next he tells me he can't do it these weeks (They are blacked out) because he'll be in Mexico. Oook...so I start to point out other days. Each day we pick he has another reason why he can't see me. Ohh this day I have golf he says. Ohhh this day my kids might be in a play and so I really need to block out that whole day. etc etc... So after picking what seems like 15 days worth of possible appointments I get annoyed. I say...I really don't feel like I should be scheduling with you. His wife says to me, "Oh no he's great at what he does! Really! He just is never here!" So I'm thoroughly annoyed at this point and say....Ya know I think I'm just going to go with someone else. I mean...you're sitting up here in your golf clothes and you clearly don't really want to be here...and what's more what do you know anyway? I mean you're a guy and why do men decide to be ob/gyns anyway? I mean really? You have no idea what you're really talking about! You're basing it off of what you learned in a class or read in a book...and frankly I don't need that.
And then I woke up....apparently I scheduled with someone else. haha Thing is...lately I've thought, I really want to ask a male ob/gyn why men go into this profession! The last two doctors I've had have been male. And while they were not bad and in fact very nice, I just have a hard time taking advice from someone who has NO idea what they're talking about. Just cause you study it doesn't make you a pro! My last doctor that delivered Hannah...while very nice was...well he asked ME why I thought Hannah was five weeks early and why I thought I had become so puffy...ohhh dear folks!
So I told myself after switching to a new doctor this time that if I ever come across another male ob/gyn and at the end of the appointment he asks if I have any questions I'll say Yes! I do have one! What makes you go into this field? I mean do you intend to be a veterinarian and you fail a course and they send you this way? Do you get to a fork in the road on what specialty to choose and this seems like what a man should choose? Cause I don't know...if I were a guy and this was my chosen specialty and it wasn't because somewhere along the line a gynecologist made a difference in my life, that after awhile it would REALLY ruin the specialness of it for me. I mean that's a lot of Hoo-ha's you're lookin at day in and out...I'd think after that many...you'd start wondering why indeed you had chosen this specialty! So I think I'll ask that one day...because I really want to know...
