Happy 6 years Husband!

Sunday was our 6 year anniversary. I was SUPER excited because this year we'd planned a camping trip over the weekend while my parents watched Hannah. (thank you SO much for doing that mom and dad!) Adam and I had not been camping together in years, which is ridiculous because we both love it and used to go all the time. I went camping with my family when I was about 8 months pregnant with Hannah but it doesn't really count because we were in a cabin and Adam didn't get to come down til the last day. So I was really excited to get away just the two of us and hang out and go bike riding and hiking and whatever sounded good. :) To add to this excitement I had started feeling MUCH better this week and have had a lot more energy. So I felt like I could actually enjoy what we were doing!
So we kicked off the weekend by eating out with some very wonderful friends we haven't seen in way too long. :) Then we left to go camping. The weather was perfect! We had a wonderful time! We went to Cape Lookout and camped and hiked and Adam fished a little and we biked and Adam made marvelous campfire coffee which I had! I hadn't had coffee in four months! It made me gag! ...The day we biked we took this crazy off road trail and ended up out here where these pictures are taken out at the bay. It was GORGEOUS! It was a trail not many people would have taken so there was no one else out there except for another couple who had been right behind us when we took off. So we had a marvlous time just being together.
Seein if he can fish...
Umm ya no...just a bunch of weeds! haha

The last day at Sand Creek...he tried fishing again and I read a good book. :)

So beautiful!

To say you won't ever change when you get into marriage is absurd. Too many life experiences and things are thrown your way, that to not change is a pity. It's how you handle what comes your way. How you deal with things together.
One of my favorite things about being married is how, if it's going right, it's about the other person filling in your gaps and hopefully you theirs. The places and spaces you lack in, the other fills for you and vice versa. Adam is very much that person in my life and even more so in the last year. There have been numerous things that have made us stop and become even more thankful for each other, but I can definitely say it's only getting better and that without a doubt we fill in each other's gaps. Neither of us is perfect and there are things I notice about myself that I want to be different so I'm better able to help Adam in a certain way or things like that. But I am extremely proud of who we are together and how far we've come. I know we're about to throw another ball into the juggling act with another baby but I'm excited to see how life continues from here.
I admire Adam for how extremely hard he works for Hannah and I right now and still manages to be a marvelous father to her. She adores him and talks about him all the time during the day when he's not here. I am constantly amazed by his patience with many things...including me and am astounded at the way he comes through for me in many little ways. He is my best friend and I love him beyond words. He has become the perfect balance for me especially in the last year and even in the last several months. It is marvelous to feel like you are working as a team with the person you are with in every way possible. I look forward to seeing him come through the door every night! Anything we do together ends up being fun, even though I know especially with being pregnant or in a general funk sometimes I'm no fun. His sense of humor is infectious and still whole-heartedly in tact. :) I know he gets embarrassed when I say these things to him...so I'll write it here and make him read it later. :) But thank you Adam...for being every inch of you and for loving me for me. I love you! Happy 6 years...with many more to come. But probably no more babies... :)

Hannah Loves the Sink

She has always loved the water. That hasn't changed. She'll take it in any form she can. She loves playin in the big kitchen sink. She literally sat in the sink for 45 minutes washing dishes and splashing in the water.

Yay for Water!

There was a couple weeks where it was REALLY hot. In particular one week. I felt bad because we hadn't been out to do a whole lot since I had been feeling really sick and tired. So one morning I knew it was going to be ridiculously hot we went to a park we used to live within walking distance from and we ran all around the huge playground and field and then when the fountains came on at 10 we splashed through those. She had a great time! She kept running back to grab pretzels and running into the fountains to wash the pretzels off.

Summer Days

On this day we'd gone to a friend's baby shower and she fell asleep five minutes before we got there...Hannah NEVER just randomly falls asleep and stays asleep. If she falls asleep in the car that's it when we get out she's awake and ready to go. But this day she fell asleep and stayed asleep 30-40 minutes into the shower with people talking around her and everything. I was shocked! Then we got home and she ran everywhere and wanted to ride with Adam when he went to mow the lawn. About 5 minutes into it I looked over and Adam's laughing...she had completely zonked out! As soon as he turned the lawnmower off about an hour later she sat straight up and said "All done!?"

I have been super bad lately at getting posts up around the same time they happen...so I'm just going to make several posts and hope they're in the right order even tho some pictures, etc...happened up to a few months ago. By the way Bethany I used that Blurb software and "slurped" up the first half of my blog and I love it! Even Adam thought it was great how it came out especially for the price! :)

Brilliant!!

I completely believe that part of the fun in being a kid is to be as messy as possible when you can. I was that kind of kid...I wasn't afraid of dirt, I was always up to something outside or building something in my dads shop...it's part of the fun! Dirt is for adding water to and making "chocolate milk" or mud pies with. Fingerpainting is most fun when it's all over your fingers and the paper...and everywhere else! Coloring is always fun, and when you can color outside the lines even better. I believe in all these things...but I'm now also a mom! haha And I have to say that whoever invented the whole Color Wonder Mess Free markers and paper from Crayola deserves major credit! I mean, there are definitely times regular markers and pens are great and fine...but for little Miss Hannah who likes to start off on paper and then slowly wander from there to her toes...to her feet then her legs, then pretend it's chapstick...then wanders on to her neighbor next to her...then the dog, the the couch or the tv or anything in her path really these markers and paper are fabulous! If you don't know what it is the markers only show up on special coloring paper. Anything else they touch it leaves a clear mark you can't see.
She can use them in the car-which I love because she HATES the car. (Anything that ties her down for more than a few minutes irritates her. She likes to go go Go!) I don't know whose brilliant idea it was (I'm going to assume it was a mom that has had or has kids!) but THANK YOU! :) You are fabulous and brilliant whoever you are!
