Abigale Joy

Miss Abigale Joy is here! She was born Thursday night @ 8:30 pm after 4 hours of labor. She weighed 6 lbs and 7 oz and is 19 inches long. She was born after I went in for an emergency check up to make sure that my water hadn't broken...it had. Turns out not entirely but enough that they felt the need to admit me and speed things along. All went well and FAST! Not near as many crazy stories to tell as with Hannah. She's completely healthy and well and Hannah tells everyone she sees stranger or not that she has a new Abby sister. :) Hannah is already doing a fabulous job as a big sister. Abby looks just like Hannah did when she was born. Comparing some of their first pictures is eerie! Abby seems to want to eat whenever she smells food and will not rouse out of a deep sleep for nothin.
We are all doin well and it sounds like we can go home tomorrow! So yay! I am feelin well...just in need of a good sleep. :)

Things

I meant to post this last week...but I've been SO tired. I have felt better this week but last week was somethin else.
Last Tuesday after I laid down for a nap with Hannah I realized that this feeling I'd been feelin for the last several days were starting to seem more and more like contractions. Hard tellin not knowing because with Hannah my water broke and I was immediately at an 8 1/2 and apparently was having contractions but wasn't feeling them until about 9+...so I had had no indications with Hannah. I realized they were about 3-5 minutes apart and thought...I should call. I was told to get in immediately.
Sure enough it was contractions. But they had me at not quite 33 weeks and so were not comfortable with her being here yet even if I think I'm two or so weeks further than they do. So I was given medication to take to try to stop the contractions and sent home, but was told I'm on bed rest as much as possible and if they (contractions) continued I would most likely have to come to the hospital for observation and bed rest for however many days. This I am trying to avoid for many reasons. Many obvious. But also right now there are hospital restrcitions because of H1N1 where no one under 18 can be admitted into certain areas of the hospital including the labor and delivery floor. So I could be there for a week and not be able to see Hannah! Noooo thank you! So we're supposed to be taking it easy and keeping Miss Abby in til next week where they will feel better about me delivering in a hospital without a NICU. Otherwise we have to go thru the hassle of possibly being transferred (they tried to do this with Hannah) or me having her in one place and them transferring Abby elsewhere. So...the goal is to get thru this week! :)
I also got a jury summons notice last week. haha! So I just had to write to be excused from that. I considered sending a picture as proof.
So last week was tiring. My body is tired. I'm not sleeping so well anymore because they want me drinking extra water, which isn't overly difficult since I'm thirsty all the time, and it's also supposed to help keep the contractions at bay, but as you can imagine I'm up every hour visiting the restroom. And my hips and legs go numb if I've been laying in one position more than 10 minutes. So we're definitely getting closer to the end. I move about the pace of a snail. But we don't have much further to go. How much further exactly I don't know but it seems like SOON! Which is exciting. I'm getting super excited to meet this little one...and so is Hannah. She has been so great about talking to Abby and sitting and reading stories to her or talking to her about things they'll get to do when she gets out. :) So we're ready...just waiting and hoping she stays in thru the weekend...although it was also be kind of sad because my sister Holly and her hubs Kevin go back to Texas on Sunday...so they will have just missed her. :( It's been so great to have them both here and get to see them. Hannah loves them so!
So that's the news up to today. Nothing overly exciting. Just waiting. And because every blog is more interesting with a picture here's one of Hannah.

Christmas 2009

Well I'm seriously late on posting this...but I like to think I have a good excuse. Christmas was great! Crazy and great. In many ways it didn't feel like Christmas and I'm not really sure why. It doesn't feel like January either...I feel it's still November. I think time is going much faster than I feel like it's going.
So Christmas was great. We kind of had a week of Christmas with family visiting and staying and coming and going and Hannah had a great time. It becomes more and more obvious that Hannah loves people and family and can't get enough of it. She went to bed late almost every single night and there were few meltdowns in sight. She LOVES when people come to visit! She's such a ham and quite the hostess! But we had a great time and Hannah had all kinds of people get her gifts... it was crazy! She's pretty sad that the Christmas tree has come down and that Santa has disappeared and that there's no more countdown to Christmas left to do. She sure was excited about Christmas coming this year.
Here are some of the pictures from Christmas:
Adam and Kendyl B...surprsingly there are a lot of pictures of these two!
