Hannah Pictures

I cannot believe this girl will be 11 mos. next week!!!!! How did that happen?! In the past couple weeks I have seen MAJOR personality and milestone strides as well as watched her grow physically to what looks like now more little girl than baby. I can't handle how cute she is...her newest thing that kills Adam and I is anything that looks interesting or is new or even REMOTELY exciting gets a very enthusiastic "OOOOO!" squeal from her. Love it! Love her!

Fall?

Does it not feel like fall outside today and this past week or so??? I am ALL for fall! It means gorgeous weather and leaves and sweaters and FOOTBALL and yummy candles and breads etc etc etc! But only if it means fall will be longer than usual...cause I HATE winter! Cause winter here is anythin gbut beautiful and heart warming!

My favorite TV show: I too am guilty of watching the Hills. I feel it's completely ridiculous and mindless and still I cna't tear away from it! I will stay up late to watch it. Other than that Law and Order SVU and Psych are favorites as well!
My favorite song: This changes a lot but right now "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz! I hum along to this all day!
Favorite restaurant: This changes too...although we haven't gone out a lot latley but just to go hang out and have a good time and listen to music, for the TOTAL experience it's McMenamins...for dessert: La Rambla! YUM!
My favorite vacation spot: I really love the beach almost any time of year!
Favorite indulgence: B&J's Coffee Heath Bar Crunch...oh goodness
My favorite snack: Chips and salsa or guacamole
My favorite season: FALL!! I love sweater weather! It's gorgeous and cool but not so cold and nasty outside you can't go do anything. Fall over here is gorgeous!
My favorite dessert: A good thick cheesecake with Caramel...mmmm

Anniversary Reflecting...

"Don't marry the person you think you can live with; marry only the individual you think you can't live without."
Our fifth year anniversary is this Saturday! I think I say this every year but man it goes so fast! And in some ways it seems longer than that but I can honestly today say without a doubt that I am more in love with Adam then when we started, and that it's a different love! I think that's part of being married - realizing that the initial love you have for each other changes into something different and better if you let it, just like we end up changing in ways.
The quote above is SO true! My sister used this for her wedding earlier this month and I love what it says. Inevitably we will hit bumps and snares and sometimes serious storms in this marriage...but while we were talking about something the other day Adam said, "Well at least we have each other if nothing else." And he's very right. Regardless of what we encounter we have each other. We are grateful for each other and manage to hold each other accountable on many levels. There are things that we may get frustrated over and often but I think at the end of the day we try to think about how we'd feel if the other wasn't there suddenly...and that feeling of not having the other by our side over rides any of the days frustrations or pettiness. I feel like having Hannah has been so good for us. There was a balance that needed to be found in the begining but she's made us work closer together on all things and come together on so many more things in life. It's just a totally different level than it was last year when I was pregnant and grumpy and it was just the two of us.
So Happy Anniversary Hubs ....I love you very much....thank you for who you are to me in my life!

Pink Booties

These just make me laugh...these booties are not even her size they are WAY to small (and actually a gift to someone else!) But it was too funny to see her playing around with them and being her usual goofball self!

You just wanna SQUEEZE her!

Have I mentioned that I really cannot get enough of this little girl!? Cause I really can't! I mean I honestly feel blessed to be a mama! It's true I was the girl who mentioned always wanting to be a mommy along with nurse and teacher and on and on...you cannot put into words though what being a mother actually means to you! I look forward to being with her every day! I look forward to finding new things to do together...I really am just in love with her! We FINALLY got her sleeping thru the night after much tweaking and experimenting and it has done ALL of us some good. Ok well not Adam as much since he's usually sawing logs right thru the worst of it but it still has been so good! You can TELL she's happier! She's SO much fun right now! She's on the verge of walking and actually has taken several steps she just doesn't feel confident enough to really let go and have at it! She talks ALL the time and repeats what you say or tries to anyway! She absolutely LOVES people and being outside and with anyone who will listen and laugh at her antics! You seriously just want to smooch and squeeze her all the time!

My Mantra....

I think I want my mantra as a mama to be "Try and Remember," and then "Pick your Battles." I want to be able to remember in anything and everything Hannah does and approaches what it was like to be a kid...to be super curious and imaginative and step back from each situation and assess whether it will really cause harm or damage or death and if not...no big deal. I mean...I remember the things I did as a kid! (Troy are ya with me!?) And Adam has told me stories of things he did...and if Hannah does even half of those things we're in for a good time. So I want to try and remember that even though grabbing engine oil and pouring it over a canopy lying on a bank to make a fun and slippery slide...or pushing snow up to a car to make a fun "jump" for sledding or buying a lovely Mother's day gift of marigolds only to golf the heads off hours later all SEEM not so great at the time...at least we have memories and stories to tell later on...and a good chuckle to boot. As long as she grows up to be respectful of others, kind and considerate and polite, a strong and independent woman with morals and values and has a good head on her shoulders....who cares about putting her face down in a puddle and slurping up some muddy water every now and again...it never killed anyone and in fact builds character! And years from now they may find that in fact slurping muddy water is great for the complexion.
So here's to remembering!

I probably have a bajillion pictures from the wedding that I'm finding I LOVE! But this one makes me smile a lot...it's a classic Mishler women moment...only thing missing are Hannah and Jen joining in the fun!

Bachelorette Party...

10 months today...

I really just needed an excuse to put up a few new pictures of Hannah...because I take so many! :) We just LOVE her!

CONGRATS HOLLY & KEVIN!!!

Friday my sister and Kevin got married and the wedding was BEAUTIFUL and it was SUCH an honor to be a part of the whole thing! Between several of us there were about a million pictures taken and we're all just starting to sort thru them and edit them but for right now here are a couple of my more favorite candid shots from Friday! Hannah did so excellent for being dragged from place to place and passed around to just about everyone who couldn't believe how happy and smiley and friendly she was! I was so worried about how she'd do and she really did so amazing!
